Represented by Confirmed Talent for DANCE EDUCATION

MaryAnn Chavez is a California-born professional dancer, choreographer, and dance educator with over a decade of experience in the commercial dance industry. She has traveled internationally teaching and performing, is signed with Bloc Dance Agency, and is managed by Ann Elyse at Confirmed Talent. MaryAnn is known for bridging high-level artistry with intentional career development.
She currently teaches on major convention circuits including Soul de Soul, Waves, and Turn It Up, and serves as a judge for Legacy Dance Championships. A three-time Capezio A.C.E. Awards finalist, MaryAnn was also named Artist in Residence at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University, where her work centered on mentorship, education, and creative process within higher education. She is excited to be back judging and creating choreography for competitive teams, bringing renewed intention and industry insight into the competition space.
Her professional credits include collaborations with brands such as Disney Channel, Apple Music, Forever 21, Splash Water, Microsoft, and Under Armour. She has danced alongside artists including Sofia Carson, OneRepublic, and FINNEAS, and has assisted on projects for Halsey, Bella Poarch, and Dancing with the Stars’ Maks Chmerkovskiy, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Peta Murgatroyd. Her choreographic work can be seen in Netflix’s Vivo animated music video “Beat of My Own Drum” featuring Missy Elliott, as well as tour visuals for EDM artist Elderbrook.
MaryAnn is the co-founder and former co-director of LUME, an industry preparation and community platform that experienced a successful five-year run, supporting over 50 dancers in signing with their dream agencies through mentorship, education, and intentional space-holding. As LUME closes this chapter, MaryAnn continues to expand her impact through The Working Artist Room—a digital community and mentorship space designed to support dancers, educators, and choreographers with structure, reflection, and real-world tools for longevity and clarity in the industry.
Her teaching and mentorship blend hip-hop and contemporary foundations with intentional practice, helping artists move from behind-the-scenes preparation into confident, aligned visibility—onstage, on camera, and beyond.
